One of the charity’s principal concerns is the misinformation that feeds the symbiotic relationship between Muslim extremism on one hand and Islamophobia on the other. Neither of these extremes consider the existence of many different types of people with different beliefs, opinions, and needs.

Our Approach: Inspire a New Conversation

Now is the time to change the conversation. We believe this can be done through thought-provoking educational content that can:

Reinforce

the idea that being Canadian and Muslim are not at odds

Realize

that Canadian Muslims are comprised of a diverse community of peoples, practices and traditions

Celebrate

the positive contributions of Canadian Muslims and the patriotic members of this very Canadian and diverse community

Challenge

the misguided stereotypes of the Canadian Muslim community

Inspire

young Canadian Muslims towards peace and progress and prevent anti-Canadian sentiment

Drive

action and attitudinal change by amplifying the reach of our messages among ALL Canadians. As a first step towards achieving such change, The Pluralist Foundation produced a video, which can be viewed at the following link
