Help us prevent discrimination or extremism of any sort. Here are some steps Canadians can take to build dialogue and respect for diversity, and ensure safety and freedom for all:
Step 1:
Nobody should be afraid to practice their faith or leave their home. Fighting discrimination of all forms starts with all of us. Watch our video produced by The Pluralist Foundation to learn more.
Step 2:
The TPF welcomes opportunities to seek new partnerships. We can apply for private donations or eligible funds to support projects of interest. Share your ideas and project proposals for new Pluralist themes or contribute to engagement under our Islamophobia theme.
Step 3:
Spread the Word - Join The Pluralist Foundation. Become a member with donation (minimum $50) or join as a volunteer or nominate a qualified person to the Executive Team.
Step 4:
Partner with The Pluralist Foundation and Donate towards Educational Initiatives to combat Islamophobia and other forms of racism or intolerance of multifaith communities.
Step 5:
Watch our video produced on Islamophobia and read this comic as a sample guide on what one can do when witnessing discrimination of any sort in public: https://www.buzzfeed.com/ryanhatesthis/someone-made-a-guide-for-what-to-do-when-you-see-islamophobi
Step 6:
Christchurch, Quebec City, London ( Ontario ): Never again. Hate-fueled violence targeting specific groups hurts us all. It's time to #SayNoToIslamophobia.
Step 7:
The Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms upholds equal rights for all Canadians. It's in place to protect us against hate speech and discrimination. See our Quotes page to learn more.
